Trump to Attend NBA Finals Game at Madison Square Garden

President Donald Trump said he plans to attend an NBA Finals game at Madison Square Garden in New York City next week.

Trump stated Thursday that he has accepted an invitation from New York Knicks owner James Dolan to attend the game. According to CBS News, Dolan has donated to Trump's political campaigns.

Trump, a native New Yorker and self-described Knicks fan, said he was invited to attend the game by the team's owner. The Washington Times described Trump as a longtime New York Knicks fan who plans to attend to root for his hometown team.

ESPN reported that Trump will attend Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden next week. The invitation from Dolan was extended to the President for the Knicks playoff game, according to the sources.

The planned attendance comes as the Knicks compete in the NBA Finals. Trump's connection to the team includes his background as a native New Yorker and his self-described fandom for the Knicks.
