Besiktas sporting director Ceyhun Kazancı stated, “There is something faintly absurd about the idea of Mohamed Salah being available to anyone who fancies a go.” He further explained that while there were talks with Salah’s representatives, they have paused. The primary obstacle appears to be financial, as Besiktas deemed Salah's requests unrealistic given their current circumstances.
The club had hoped to bring in Salah on a free transfer, but his wage demands are proving to be too high for Besiktas to meet at this time. While the possibility of a move isn’t entirely off the table, it seems increasingly unlikely unless Salah adjusts his expectations.
