Actor Michael Urie has expressed his desire to return to the Broadway play “Oh, Mary!” following his involvement in the production last year. He also received a second Emmy nomination for his role in “Shrinking” and reflected on the impact of his work in “Ugly Betty.”
Urie starred as Mary’s Teacher alongside Jinkx Monsoon, who played the title character, in Cole Escola’s Tony-winning play, “Oh, Mary!”. He stated he has been wanting to return to the production since his initial stint.
The actor is also known for his television roles in “Ugly Betty” and “Shrinking.” He recently received a second Emmy nomination for his work on “Shrinking”. Reflecting on “Ugly Betty,” Urie said, “That show was so ahead of its time.”
