Kaylee Hottle, an actress known for her roles in the "Godzilla" and "Kong" films, died Tuesday at age 18 in a car accident.
The actress, who appeared in both “Godzilla vs. Kong” and “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” passed away on Tuesday, according to reports. Her father, Joshua Hottle, announced the news via a Facebook livestream using American Sign Language.
Joshua Hottle also confirmed his daughter’s death to TMZ, stating that she died in a car accident. No further details regarding the circumstances of the accident were immediately available. Kaylee Hottle gained recognition for portraying Jia, a young deaf girl who forms a connection with Kong, in both monsterverse films.
The role was particularly significant as Hottle herself was deaf and used sign language in her performance, bringing authentic representation to the character.
