LA28 Chief Highlights World Cup Lessons for Los Angeles

Los Angeles can learn valuable lessons from hosting World Cup matches as the city prepares for the Olympic Games, according to LA28 chief executive Reynold Hoover. Hoover stated that the city needs to "size up and scale" plans for the return of the Olympics in two years.

Eight World Cup matches will be staged at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Los Angeles. The schedule includes the opening fixture for co-hosts the United States against Paraguay on June 12. This opening game serves as one of five group games scheduled at the venue. In addition to the group stage matches, the stadium will host another two matches in the round of 32.

The hosting of these eight matches provides a significant opportunity for the city to refine its operational capabilities.
