Android Introduces Anti-Scam Feature to Verify Caller Identity

Google is implementing a new anti-scam feature for Android devices aimed at combating phone fraud. Available for Android 12 and later, the feature is integrated directly into Google Dialer.

The system functions by sending a silent "confirmation signal" to the caller. According to Wired, this signal is designed to ensure that whoever is calling is who they appear to be, providing a technical layer of verification to protect users from potential scams.
